Description
2018 INSTALLATION AND MISSION SUPPORT WEAPONS AND TACTICS CONFERENCE INDUSTRY DAY, MAY 15, 2018 SOLICITATION NUMBER: IMS_IWEPTAC_2018_INDUSTRY DAY The Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center (AFIMSC) Commander will host the 2nd Annual Installation and Mission Support Weapons and Tactics Conference (I-WEPTAC) Conference May 14 - 16, 2018. This conference will focus on the energy and creativity of our young warfighters on the toughest challenges the Air Force is facing in combat support. The theme of the 2018 I-WEPTAC is "Bridging the Gap: Multi-Domain Combat Support." This conference will bring together hundreds of warfighters from the Air Force to discuss current and future issues, and provide solutions to potential topic/mission scenarios. The culminating event will be the Final Outbrief which will be presented to the 10 Major Command (MAJCOM) Commanders as well as senior leaders from the respective Air Staff functional offices. Independent of the conference, an Industry Day and social will be held on May 15, 2018 at the 502 OSS Hangar 1610 on the Port San Antonio side of Joint Base San Antonio Lackland. The address for Hangar 1610 is 303 S, Frank Luke Drive, San Antonio, TX 78226. The Industry Day and social are open to all defense industry organizations, including small businesses, who want to showcase their existing and future technologies and capabilities. It presents an opportunity for the defense industry to meet with warfighters who currently use or potentially will use their products. Industry representatives will be able to obtain direct feedback from the actual warfighters on what they like and don't like as well as learn first-hand about products and technology they would like to see in the future. In addition to industry exhibit, AFIMSC expects there to be some military products on display. The mission of AFIMSC is to deliver globally integrated combat support and shape the foundation of America's Air, Space, and Cyberspace power. AFIMSC is one team around the globe revolutionizing combat support. The AFIMSC cross-functional team provides globally integrated management, resourcing and combat support operations for Airman and family services, base communications, chaplain, civil engineering, contracting, logistics readiness, public affairs, security forces and financial management programs. The topics that will be presented during the conference are: Installation Investment Initiative 2035; Multi-Domain Tactical ACS C2 in A2/AD environment; Critical Base Resiliency Capabilities for the A2/AD environment; and Integrate New Agile UTCs into Combat Support Wing.
