- This project is set-aside for Total Small Business The NAICS code for this project is 115310. The small business size standard is no greater than 19 million in average annual receipts. Only offers from firms that are certified to meet both Total Small Business status and the size standard will be considered. You may contact your local U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) office (federal, not state office) for more information on the Total Small Business program. Your local SBA office's contact information may be found by accessing the SBA website (www.sba.gov). The Stanislaus National Forest, Calaveras Ranger District, intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract for services to mechanical thin/mastication live and dead conifers and brush. The contract consist of 110 acre base with 3 optional items totaling 200 more acres to masticate. The Contractor shall provide everything--including, but not limited to, all equipment, supplies, transportation, labor, and supervision--necessary to complete the project, except for that which the contract clearly states is to be furnished by the Government. Multiple pieces of equipment will be necessary in order to meet the timeline of this contract. Prospective contractors must address their ability to complete the contract within the time allotted. Location: The project is located on the Stanislaus National Forest, Calaveras Ranger District. See attached maps for unit locations. Item 1 Base. These areas may be accessed directly off Highway 4 by using 04N79Y, off Highway 4 using Silver Saddle Road to 04N44, and Highway 4 using Candy Rock Road (04N80Y) to Tunnel Muck Pile Road (04N73Y and 41520A). Optional Item 2 These areas may be accessed off Highway 4 using Silver Saddle Road to 04N44. This Item will require the Contractor to cross the UWPA Flume and Ditch System. Flume crossing location shall be designated and agreed upon between UWPA, Forest Service and Contractor. Safeguards, supplies and material for crossing and protecting the UWPA Flume and Ditch System shall be provided by the Contractor. Full liability of crossing the UWPA Flume and Ditch System will reside solely with the Contractor. Optional Items 3 and 4 These areas may be accessed off Highway 4 using Moran Road (CNTY_C37) to Love Creek Road (CAL_380), and then to 04N30. The request for quotes will be uploaded when ready, approximately March 16, 2018. The date of award is expected to be within 15 days after the actual response date, which will be stated in the package and possibly changed in one or more amendments. Please hold any technical questions until after review of the solicitation. The technical contact information will be listed in the solicitation. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor the Federal Business Opportunities website for amendments.
