- Notice of Intent to issue a Sole Source Award for a HAAS Milling Machine DESC: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO Phillips Corporation Inc., Federal Division, to provide the following service UNDER AUTHORITY OF FAR 13.106-1(b) Description of service: The Government requires the HAAS VF-4 Machining Center. The item or service is only available from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), or there is only one authorized distributor or technical representative for the OEM. HAAS meets the standards required for machine shop operations, and the time sensitive nature of the misison, typically 21 days to complete removal of components, disassembly, repair, reinstallation, and testing. This Notice of Intent is not a request for Expressions of Interest (EOIs), proposals or quotations. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of EOLs, proposals or quotations received in response to this notice. Interested persons may indetify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide the services sought including pricing data and technical data sufficient enough to determine that a comparable source to the government is available. The Government will be the sole determiner regarding an quoter's ability to meet all requirements. The Government will consider all EOIs received prior to 3 days after the date of publication of this synopsis before 1200 EST on that date. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered soley for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. EOIs may be submitted via email to zachary.daugherty@usmc.mil Submitters bear the burden of ensuring that the EOI reaches the designated contracting officer on time before the deadline specified. This purchase will be under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 13.106-1(b). The anticipated award date is 12 March 2018.
