- Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Barbados will launch the solicitation on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website when it is available. The requirement is for the providing of Health and Life Insurance for locally employed staff of the U.S. Mission in Barbados. The estimated number of employees is 127 with approximately 123 eligible dependents. Please note these are estimated figures. The anticipated performance is for a base period of twelve months and four one-year periods at the option of the Government. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered, electronic submissions will not be accepted. The solicitation will be issued via the FedBizOpps web site, no paper copies will be mailed. Note: The response date in this synopsis is not a firm date, please see the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the actual date. SAM registration is required pursuant to FAR provision 5.2007, and prospective offers are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of proposals.
