- 1) Improved RDX, Type II, Class 1 explosive material, per MIL-DTL-398D (Quantity - 500 each). 2) FEM RDX, Type II, (4 MICRONS) explosive material, per MIL-DTL-398D (Quantity - 200 each). 3) FEM RDX (4 MICRONS) explosive material, per MIL-DTL-398D (Quantity - 300 each). 4) Improved RDX, Type II, Class 1 explosive material, per MIL-DTL-398D (Quantity - 500 each). 5) FEM RDX, Type II, (4 MICRONS) explosive material, per MIL-DTL-398D (Quantity - 500 each). 6) HMX, grade A, CLASS 5 explosive material, MIL-DTL-45444C (Quantity - 200 each). The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis this requirement. This requirement is sole sourced to BAE Systems, Ordnance Systems Inc., 4509 West Stone Drive, Kingsport, TN 37660 due to unique capability. The same material must be used throughout testing to maintain consistency and integrity of the testing. The compound formula is proprietary to BAE. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Any firms believing that they can provide this material may submit a written response to be received at the contracting office no later than 5 days after the date of publication of this notice. It must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of the item without causing programmatic hardship. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The written response shall reference solicitation number N6893618Q0086.
