- PROJECT TITLE: Replace Failing Drainfields, SLBE The National Park Service, Midwest Region Major Acquisition Buying Office (MABO), is requesting proposals to for the removal and installation of 3 waste water treatment beds at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. The Work consists of the following: The contractor will remove and re-installing 3 waste water treatment beds. The contractor will be responsible to replace all branched pipes, including borrow and aggregates from the septic tank out, to include waste water treatment bed. The contractor is to size and install the new waste water treatment beds to meet local and state building codes. Existing Approximate waste water treatment bed size and water usage: 1 Entrance station: Waste Water bed approximate size 56` x 18`/ water usage 66,000 gallons per year. 2 Maintenance Building: Waste Water Bed approximate Size 26`X 12` / water usage 11,000 gallons per year 3 Picnic Area comfort station: Waste Water Bed approximate Size 46`X 18` / water usage 36,000 gallons per year A Performance and Payment Bond(100 percent of the original contract price) and Bid Guarantee and Insurance will be required for this project. Type of Contract: Firm Fixed Price NAICS 238910 (Site Preparation Contractors) The small business standard is $15M. In accordance with FAR 36.204(b) the Project Magnitude is between $25,000 and $100,000. Contract Period of Performance: Estimated at 30 days SITE VISIT: A site visit prior to proposal submission is strongly encouraged. The site visit is scheduled for Thursday, February 01, 2018 at 10am local time. All questions shall be submitted electronically to nicholas_m_murray@nps.gov no later than 2:00PM CST, Wednesday, February 07, 2018. All questions will be answered in one amendment to the solicitation. Proposals shall be received no later than 2:00 PM, CST, Monday, February 19, 2018. Proposals shall be emailed to nicholas_m_murray, hardcopies will not be accepted. The project is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act: General Decision Number: MI170043 12/01/2017 MI43 Superseded General Decision Number: MI20160043 State: Michigan Construction Type: Heavy Counties: Antrim, Charlevoix, Leelanau, Manistee, Missaukee and Wexford Counties in Michigan. A Payment Bond(100 percent of the original contract price) and Insurance will be required for this project. The Government will award one (1) firm-fixed price contract from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer is conforming to the solicitation and will be the best value to the Government. In order to be awarded a contract an offeror must have a DUNS number, be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM), http://www.sam.gov, and have completed their Online Representations and Certifications.
