Description
Solicitation 1204H118Q7031, Chippers for the USDA Forest Service in the Pacific Northwest Region 6 is amended as follows: The following language has been removed in its entirety from D.16 PRE-SEASON INSPECTIONS. A mechanical inspection (OF 296) will also be completed during the preaward inspection process, however, the OF 296 is for informational purposes only. Items on the OF 296 needing repaired or replaced is the vendors responsibility and shall be repaired or replaced prior to accepting a dispatch. D.16 PRE-SEASON INSPECTIONS will read as follows: Resources under this solicitation, and resultant agreement, are required to pass a pre-award inspection prior to award. Inspections must be completed by an approved MOU Equipment Inspection provider before MAY 1, 2018 in order to be placed on a Dispatch Priority List (DPL) for the 2018 fire season. Vendors are responsible to contact an MOU Equipment Inspection Provider to schedule an inspection and pay for the costs of the services performed. Vendors should provide manufacturers documentation to support equipment specifications, if necessary. See link below for a list of approved MOU Equipment Inspection Providers. Replacement equipment is also required to complete a pre-award inspection. NOTE: If your resource(s) is/are not inspected by MAY 1, 2018, but is/are inspected after MAY 1, 2018 and prior to MAY 1, 2019, vendors may receive an award under this solicitation; however, the resource(s) will be suspended for the 2018 season. Equipment inspected after MAY 1, 2018 may be utilized under an Incident Only EERA (Emergency Equipment Rental Agreement), however, the EERA will be limited to the 90% report rate and not the rate awarded in your VIPR agreement. Your resource(s) will be reinstated for 2019 if the resource(s) is/are inspected by MAY 1, 2018. Resources not inspected by MAY 1, 2019 should be withdrawn by the vendor or will be terminated by the Contracting Officer. Current Equipment Inspection Providers and Pre-Award Inspection Checklist(s) are located at the following website: https://sites.google.com/site/factcontractoperations/ For issues and questions regarding the pre-award inspection process, email Contract Operations at FACT@fs.fed.us -- End of Amendment 0001
