- Synopsis 105mm Wood Box for the 105mm Artillery Cartridges The Army Contracting Center, Rock Island (ACC-RI) intends to issue Request for Proposal (RFP) W52P1J-17-R-0089. This Solicitation will be issued as a Competitive 8(a) set-aside in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.805-1(a). The item being purchased is the 105mm Wood Box, NSN: 8140-01-077-2004, Part Number: 9271047 in accordance with MIL-DTL-2427H. FOB is Destination. Proposed contract will be awarded based on a Low-Price Technically Acceptable process, and will result in up to two Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) awards. Detailed specifics of the technical and quality requirements will be provided in the solicitation. The 105mm Wood Box is used to transport and store 105mm artillery cartridges. The wood box being procured through this action accommodates two each PA55 Fiber Containers, which contain a 105mm M1 HE artillery round. Nominal inside dimensions of the box are 32.0" x 10.375" x 5.25". The box will be nailed, with a hinged cover and external rope handles. The box will be heat treated, have preservative applied, and appropriate markings stenciled. The 105mm Wood Box is used to transport and store 105mm M1 HE Artillery Cartridges. The minimum guarantee amount is a process map of the 105mm Wood Box production line, which will be identified in the solicitation. The response date is for archive purposes only and is NOT the date in which offers are due. The date offers are due will be issued with the solicitation. ESTIMATED solicitation issue date is 02 March 2018. This is an estimated date only and may be subject to change. The maximum contract value will be $22,164,718.68, with a guarantee minimum (process map) for each awarded contract. The RFP W52P1J-17-R-0089 and any amendments will be available electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102(a)(1); at the following internet address: https://www.fedbizopps.gov on or about 03/02/2018.
