Description
The purpose of this Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announcement is to conduct market research/survey for the purpose of soliciting statements of interest and capabilities of industry vendors for custom built trailer (mobile service unit (MSU) for maintenance/support of airport runway safety lights as described in draft Scope of Work (SOW)(attached). This announcement is NOT a solicitation or Screening Information Request (SIR). The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals at this time. Compensation of any measure will not be provided for efforts in response to this survey. The procurement approach and/or nature of the competition will be determined based on results of this market survey. Responding vendors will receive copy of solicitation (Request for Offer) by direct email communication if provided information demonstrates suitable capabilities with applicable business status based on the determined procurement approach. The Principal North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 336212, Truck Trailer Manufacturing with a size standard of 1,000 employees. A valid SAM registration (www.SAM.gov) will be required for vendors conducting business with Federal government entities including the FAA. Recommend page limitation of 1-10 pages (1-5 sheets if double-sided) with limited graphics and colors in order to promote efficiency and to mitigate risk of bandwidth restrictions by email server. The following information will be most relevant to determine vendor's overall capability for this requirement: a. Business Socio-economic status/size. b. SAM Registration status (must be valid before time of award). c. Described ability to successfully meet requirement as described in draft SOW/Specifications (attached). d.
