- PSOL Acquisition Authority: This acquisition is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and the resultant contract award will include all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-97 / 01-24-2018. Set-aside Status: The proposed acquisition contains a Total small business set-aside restriction Competition Status: This requirement is posted as competitive Description of Requirement: The NCATS Information Technology Resources Branch (ITRB), specifically the Prototype Instrument Lab, uses Machine Tooling equipment to fabricate prototype instrumentation, and integrate instruments to our large scale high -throughput systems. The lab requires a swing lathe to integrate with this system, that fulfills all the following technical requirements and salient characteristics: 13" swing over bed; 18" minimum swing over gap; 40" between centers; Infinitely variable speed - 40 - 2,000 rpm; 1-9/16" spindle bore; D1-4 Spindle nose; 5C Collet lever closer; Taper attachment; Accu-Rite 200S 2-axis DRO; Treadle-actuated brake; Coolant pump and reservoir.
