- Forest Service Hosts Informational Meetings for Contractors Interested in Flood Repair Projects Pre-Solicitation Information Description Monongahela National Forest is offering informational meetings for local contractors and certified Small Business Concerns who are interested in working on projects related to the June 2016 flood in West Virginia. Contractors and businesses who specialize in excavation, highway construction, heavy equipment operation, and trail or bridge construction are needed. Projects will vary in scale and complexity, and will span the southern half of Monongahela National Forest in West Virginia and include the following roads: Williams River Road and White Oak Road in Pocahontas and Webster counties; and Brushy Mountain Road and Sulphur Lick Run Road in Greenbrier county. The project work includes repairing roadway embankment, shoulder and ditch reconditioning, repair of slope failures, removal and replacement of bridges and culvert structures, drainage improvements, and other miscellaneous work. Work will be under multiple projects and will be advertised available via fbo.gov.
