- Standing_Timber_Harvest_DACA65-B-18-06 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is offering for sale two (2) items of timber on approximately 270 acres total located within Fort A.P. Hill, Bowling Green, VA 22427 of which approximately the following volumes to be harvested: The sale is per unit and harvested timber will be sold by WEIGHT. Item 1 - TIMBER ON 4 BLOCKS (108 ACRES) PINE SAWTIMBER -- 1167 Tons PINE CHIP N SAW - 930 Tons PINE PULPWOOD - 2711 Tons HARDWOOD SAWTIMBER - 327 Tons HARDWOOD PULPWOOD - 788 Tons Tons of Chips (optional) - 462 Tons Item 2 - TIMBER ON 3 BLOCKS (162 ACRES) PINE SAWTIMBER -- 1602 Tons PINE CHIP N SAW - 131 Tons PINE PULPWOOD - 760 Tons HARDWOOD SAWTIMBER - 1670 Tons HARDWOOD PULPWOOD - 2350 Tons Tons of Chips (optional) - 276Tons Item # one (1) -All harvest operations including site rehabilitation activities of this item shall be completed by 31 December 2018. Block # two (2) No tree cutting between 15 April and 15 September Block # three (3) No tree cutting between 15 April and 15 September Block # four (4) No tree cutting between 15 April and 15 September Item # two (2) - All harvest operations including site rehabilitation activities of this item shall be completed by 31 December 2018, with the exception of Block # seven (7) in which the harvest shall be complete prior to 15 April 2018. Upon completion of Block # seven (7) the purchaser shall proceed to the next available block to continue harvest operations. Block # five (5) No tree cutting between 15 April and 15 September Block # six (6) No tree cutting between 15 April and 15 September. Timber may be inspected by prospective purchasers ON FRIDAY January 26, 2018, MONDAY January 29, 2018, &February 2, 2018 BEGINNING AT 10:00 a.m. EACH MORNING. Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday May 31, 2017 by the Acquisition, Management, and disposal section, real estate office, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, VA, and then opened publicly. Forms for use in submitting bids are attached within this posting as an Invitation For Bid link as a pdf file.
