- Salient Characteristics This is a request for information (RFI), i.e. sources sought notice, for information and acquisition planning purposes. This Sources Sought Notice does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, Request for Proposals, or a Request for Quotations. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government to issue an order or otherwise pay for the information solicited, nor is it a guarantee of a forthcoming solicitation or contract. It is for market research purposes only. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. The Government will not pay for any effort expended or any material provided in response to this announcement, nor will the Government return any data provided. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of various members of industry, to include the Small Business Community: Small Business, Section 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUB-Zone), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB), and Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB). The Government must ensure there is adequate competition among the potential pool of responsible contractors. Small business, Section 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB, & EDWOSB businesses are highly encouraged to participate. Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) is seeking small business concerns to procure/manufacture one (1) Model C-26 SQSS Cammann Metal Disintegrator with a magnetic base (BRAND NAME or EQUAL TO) for the SWRMC Machine Product Family. SWRMC is contemplating award of a single award firm fixed price contract for the requirement specified above. The applicable NAICS code is 333517 - Machine Tool Manufacturing. Interested vendors should notify this office in writing via e-mail within the posted date. Responses shall include: Company Name Company Address Business Size (small, small disadvantaged, 8(a), women-owned, HUBZone, or service-disabled veteran-owned) [more than one category may be selected as applicable] Company Point of Contact (POC) information Automatic metal disintegrator specifications and capabilities Past experience The past experience should identify, by contract number, past or current contracts and/or subcontracts that were awarded to the company, period of performance, contract type, contract amount, a description of relevant corporate experience gained, and a POC for the customer/recipient of the work performed. Responses should be received no later than 11:00 AM on 19 Jan 2018.
