- This is a sources sought synopsis for acquisition planning purposes and no formal solicitation exists at this time. The Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Region, has a requirement for the remodel of roughly 10,000 square feet on the Theater Level of the Hoover Dam Visitor Center, excluding the theaters themselves. The renovated floor will include new interior finishes for the floors, ceilings, walls, and new restroom finishes and fixtures. In addition to the finishes, the existing wall murals will be replaced, the existing security wall will be replaced, the open staircase will be refinished and modified to comply with accessibility requirements, and the security/ticket booths will also be replaced. The Visitor Center will be vacated for the duration of construction. The period of performance will be no greater than 270 calendar days. The duration of the construction will be limited to 120 calendar days during the projected Hoover 2019 Outage Season beginning on or about Oct 1, 2018 and end on or about Jan 31, 2019. The timeline will be critical due to the limitations on project site access. The Visitors Center is located on top of Hoover Dam, north-east of Boulder City, Nevada, in Mojave County, Arizona. The project is located at the Theater Level of the Visitor Center. Access to the site is by Nevada State Route 172. The site is approximately 8 miles northeast of Boulder City, Nevada and 32 miles southeast of Las Vegas, Nevada in Clark County. All qualified concerns that may be interested in performing the proposed project are encouraged to submit capability statements for consideration. Based upon response to this announcement and capability statements, the Government may determine to set this acquisition aside, proceed with an unrestricted solicitation or decide on an alternate procurement strategy. The applicable North American Industry Classification (NAIC) code for this requirement is 236220, with a small business size standard of $36.5Mil. Include the following information with the capability statement: Narrative discussing firms ability to complete this type of work, Previous completed projects performed of similar nature, Business name, address, point of contact, DUNS number, phone number and email address; and Business size & type: 8(a), HubZone, Service Disabled Veteran, Woman Owned Small Business, Small Business or Large Business, etc. Capability statements are to be submitted no later than January 23th, 2018, 3:00 PM PST. Capability statements shall not exceed five pages in length. This information will be used to assist the Contracting Officer in terms of developing the appropriate procurement strategy for this acquisition and for purposes of market research. All businesses, regardless of size, capable of providing these items are invited to respond. Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this sources sought is voluntary. This notice is designed to locate responsible sources that have an interest, and have the ability to perform the services described herein.
