Description
NSN Listing The NSNs listed in the attachment are being considered for addition to contract SPE7MX-16-D-0100, the GDLS IPS Program. No RFP will be issued as it is anticipated that these NSNs will be added to an existing contract. The total contract duration shall not exceed 5 years. GDLS is a source of supply for all of the items proposed for addition. The contract's scope is: "The scope of contract SPE7MX16D0100 is as follows: In addition to those NSNs specified in the Section B spreadsheet, the scope of this acquisition is for supplies and logistical support for NSNs that support the following General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) vehicles 1) Abrams Main Battle Tank, 2) Stryker Family of Vehicles, 3) Light Armored Vehicle Family of Vehicles, 4) Cougar, 5) Buffalo, and 6) RG-31, where GDLS is a source of supply. NSNs within the scope may be added to the contract at a later date in accordance with DLAD clause 52.216-9006, "Addition/Deletion of Items", at the discretion of the Government." It should be noted that the program enacted with contract SPE7MX16D0100 is a multiyear arrangement designed to sustain/improve readiness for the six vehicular platforms produced by GDLS, which are listed above. The GDLS IPS initiative provides for improved Obsolescence/Configuration Change Management, helps maintain a viable supply chain, and improve DLA's visibility to the lowest levels of the supply chain through enhanced communication with the supported vehicles' OEM for items the Government has identified as critical parts. This element of the program is supported through a Supply Chain Risk Assessment report (SCRA) and accompanying meeting with GDLS. In addition, the program supports Production Lead-time Reductions through 3 "Inventory Programs" which provide the Government the opportunity to reduce inventories while responding to customer demands in a more timely manner. Specifications, plans or drawings are not available. Anyone wishing to submit a proposal, other than GDLS (CAGE 7W356), should contact the primary point of contact.
