- This contract action is for the acquisition of supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1). The National Institute of Environmental Health Science (NIEHS), Office of Acquisitions (OA) intends to award a single source purchase order to Integra Biosciences Corp, 2 Wentworth Drive, Hudson, NH 03061, for the acquisition of an Integra VIAFLO 384 Base Unit. 1. #6103, VIAFLO 96, Channel Pipetting Head 10-300ul (1 each) 2. #6031, VIAFLO 384 Base Unit,No Plate Holder, (1 each) 1 3.#6210 VIAFLO 384 Plate Holder with Slide Function (384 well offset)(2 each) 4.#6434 GROPTIP 6000, 300Ul; 5 racks of 96 sterile for V96 tips (1 each) 5. Shipping The Integra VIAFLO 96 Base Unit is a 96-well pipetting system used to transfer reagents to 96-well plates. It is compatible and interchangeable with existing VIAFLO Systems in the NTPL at the NIEHS, RTP, NC. Its flexibility in volume ranges within unit and user control to adapt to various applications are key features for this requirement. The automatic tip loading and ejection are more ergonomically-friendly, and the small footprint allows placement of the unit inside a biosafety cabinet for cell culture work and dosing with chemicals. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 334516 "Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing" and a Size Standard of 1000. The anticipated period of performance is 2 weeks, ARO. NIEHS will solicit and negotiate directly with Integra Biosciences, Corp. and no solicitation will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations; however, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Offerors must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) www.sam.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties must express their interest and must be submitted in writing via email to Valarie K. Sims at valare.sims@nih.gov and are due by 10:00 AM, December 29, 2017. No faxed documents will be accepted. If no responsive statements are received by the due date, an award will be made to Integra Biosciences, Corp.
