- The National Park Service (NPS) will issue a Prospectus soliciting proposals for the award of one Concession Contract to provide Marina Slip Rentals, Food and Beverage Services, Retail Sales and Camping Services within Fire Island National Seashore. The Prospectus and any subsequent modifications (including responses to any questions received) will be published on the NPS web site: https://concessions.nps.gov/prospectuses.htm. The Prospectus explains the business opportunity and the terms and conditions under which the NPS will award the Concession Contract. The Director, pursuant to 36 CFR, Part 51, has determined that no Preferred Offeror exists and that this solicitation for commercial services is fully competitive for the respective Contract. The NPS had advertised this concession opportunity in December 2016 but did not make a selection based on that prospectus. This prospectus release includes adjusted contract terms that are more favorable to the future operator. A site visit is scheduled for January 9, 2018. Instructions for this site visit can be found in the Business Opportunity. Questions related to the Prospectus must be received in writing via email to Kathleen Karhnak-Glasby at the email address above by January 24, 2018. Any proposal must be received by 4:00 p.m. (ET) March 15, 2018. Please send proposals to: National Park Service Northeast Regional Office Attn: Chief of Business Services 200 Chestnut St Philadelphia PA 19106 Hard copies will be available upon request for a printing cost recovery charge. The fee is $50.00 per copy to be delivered via Federal Express or $45.00 per copy if picked up in person. Persons interested in obtaining a Prospectus should mail, or bring in person, a check or money order made payable to the NPS. Cash will not be accepted. You must include a physical address (no post office box) and a telephone number to receive a Federal Express package. If you choose to retrieve a copy of the Prospectus from the NPS website, please notify Kathleen Karhnak-Glasby, Chief of Business Services, at Kathleen_Karhnak-Glasby@nps.gov so you are placed on the mailing list to receive notifications of any future modifications or other correspondence. The NPS will send any additional information specific to the Prospectus in writing, via email, to interested parties who request a hard copy or who have been placed on the contact list.
