Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD TO A MANDATORY SOURCE NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center San Diego (FLCSD) intents to negotiate and award to a mandatory source, Job Options Inc. The Government requires laundry services from Job Options. The Center for Security Forces will purchase a service contract for twelve (12) months for pickup, cleaning and delivery of approximately 1,275 pounds (lb) a month or 15,300 pounds (lb) a year of laundry. The contractor will be required to launder all articles, bleach thermals, and fold the listed Government owned clothing articles. This requirement is for commercial items prepared using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the FAR 13.302-1, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. The items requested is from a mandatory source via ability one under FAR 8.704 (a)(2)(i). The Small Business Office concurs with the set-aside decision. The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only mandatory source under FAR 8.704 (a)(2)(i) Purchase Priorities. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all bids, proposals, or quotations received by the closing response date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. FOB Destination applies. POP 01 January 2018 to 31 December 2018. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a) (6), the required justification and approval documentation is attached (See Note 22). This Notice of Intent is not a request for quotation. No solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit product information in response to this notice by 09:00 AM PST, 28 December 2017 via email to michelle.muniz@navy.mil.
