- Description
- The Department of Transportation, Maritime Administration (MARAD) intends to procure Security Guard Services at two locations; the Beaumont Reserve Fleet, 2600 Amoco Road, Beaumont, Texas 77705 and the Beaumont Layberth Facility, 5320 Church House Road, Orange, TX 77630. This solicitation will be issued as a request for quote (RFQ) under solicitation. 69727618Q000001. It will be issued as a small business set aside and the NAICS code is 561612, the small business size standard is $17M. Solicitation package will be available on or about December 27, 2017. A site visit is tentatively set for Wednesday, January 3, 2018 between the hours of 0900-1200. All information for site visit will be in solicitation package. All questions from site visit will be due January 8, 2018 and quotes will be due Wednesday, January 10, 2018. Any questions and/or concerns this to Request for Quotation (RFQ) should be directed to the Department of Transportation via email to carolyn.quinn@dot.gov or aline.smith@dot.gov. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The Government intends to make an award without discussions, however, the Government reserves the right to conduct discussions, if it is decided that it is the best interest of the Government to do so. IN ORDER TO RECEIVE AN AWARD, YOU MUST BE REGISTERED IN SAM AND YOUR ACCOUNT MUST BE ACTIVE AT TIME OF SUBMISSION OF QUOTE. INACTIVE ACCOUNTS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. TO REGISTER, GO TO WWW.SAM.GOV. There will be evaluation criteria in the solicitation package. Guards must be paid in accordance with latest DOL Wage Determination for that area, to include sick leave, health benefits, uniform allowance, etc. Clause 52.222-17 Non-displacement of Qualified Workers will be included in this solicitation. AN AWARD WILL BE MADE ON OR ABOUT 17 JAN 2018, WHICH WILL ALLOW 2 WEEKS FOR TRANSITIONING FOR PERFORMANCE START DATE OF 1 FEB 2018
