Description
Glen Canyon Power Plant Access Tunnel Inspection Announcement 1.0 The US Bureau of Reclamation, Glen Canyon Field Division (GCFD) located in Page, Arizona has a requirement to replace two water cooled chillers-cum-heat pumps for its HVAC system and supply and install two redundant chillers each for the power plant. The work is located at the Glen Canyon Dam, near Page, Arizona, approximately 120 miles North of Flagstaff, Arizona, on Highway 89, and 70 miles east of Kanab, Utah, at Lake Powell. This requirement is being procured in accordance with Parts 12 and 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations as a full and open requirement. The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a competitive solicitation for this requirement. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The goals of the project are: *Remove existing two Trane CVHE025 4160 volt, 3 phase screw type chillers/heat pumps (also referred to as chiller) with accessories from governor floor at level two of the Glen Canyon power plant. *Supply and install two new chillers/heat pumps. Each having a minimum 180 tons and maximum 250 tons with variable frequency or variable speed drives. Maximum ratings will be required during operation with existing piping and air handlers. Minimum rating will be required when piping and air handlers are replaced in the future. *Provide one year of Maintenance for the chillers with the option of up to 4 additional years. NAICS AND SIZE STANDARD: The NAICS code for this project is 333415 ¿ HVAC Equipment with a size standard of 750 employees. SOLICITATION RELEASE DATE: The release date for the final and formal solicitation January 2018.
