- The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) plans to conduct an Advance Planning Briefing to Industry on January 11, 2018, followed by a networking opportunity in an adjacent location. Mr. Vayl Oxford, Director of DTRA, will speak on DTRA's Strategic Vision and the direction of the Agency. A question and answer (Q&A) period will be held to better understand impediments to performance. Mr. Edwin Wright, Head of Contracting Activity (HCA) and Mr. Robert (Rob) Stewart, Jr., will provide an overview of current program requirements and small business opportunities related to acquisition; the current status of contract requirements; update Industry on emerging requirements; and facilitate a Q&A period between industry and DTRA programs. FBO is the primary source for updates and it is encouraged that all interested participants sign up for the FBO notifications regarding this announcement. Due to the limited space, only two (2) representatives from each company, maximum of 300 participants, will be allowed to attend. This is a first come, first serve opportunity. Date of Briefing: January 11, 2018 Time: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm Location: Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Auditorium, FT Belvoir, VA 22060 All interested attendees must submit a request to attend via email sent directly to dtra.belvoir.j4-8.mbx.fbo-notices@mail.mil with "2018 Industry Day RSVP" in the subject line prior to 10:00 AM EST on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. Interested attendees will receive a confirmation email from the event POCs, Lisa Murphy and/or Joyce Gamboa, to confirm the event reservation for the submitted attendees. If no confirmation email is received, the interested Attendee may not be on the RSVP List. Instructions are as follows for submitting a request to attend. For Common Access Card (CAC) Holders: Submit RSVP Request with the following information: - Company Name - Attendee Name Bring CAC; must be valid; not to expire on or before Jan 11, 2018 Report to DLA Main Lobby for check-in no later than 12:30 PM EST For non-CAC holders: Submit RSVP Request with the following information: - Company Name - Attendee Name - Citizenship Bring a valid Government-issued identification i.e. Driver's License, Passport, etc. Report to DLA Main Lobby for check-in no later than 12:00 PM EST For non-U.S. Citizens: Submit RSVP Request with the following information: - Company Name - Attendee Name - Copy of passport Bring a valid passport (must be the same passport submitted with the RSVP Request) Report to DLA Main Lobby for check-in no later than 11:30 AM EST Security Information: This is an Unclassified Briefing, intended for Public Release. Access to the McNamara Headquarters Complex (DLA Building) is restricted; all visitors must check-in with Security at the above-mentioned times. In the event that additional information is required for entry, the attendees will be notified. Parking Information: Due to limited parking spaces, it is highly recommended for attendees to be dropped off at the DLA main entrance.
