- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THERE WILL NOT BE A SOLICITATION WITH SPECIFICATIONS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for informational purposes only. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, requests capability statements from all qualified and interested parties from Small Business (SB) Firms, Certified 8(a) Firms, Certified Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HubZone) Firms, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) for the potential of furnishing Sodium Hypochlorite (12.5 Trade Percent) in accordance with these specifications. Sodium Hypochlorite is used at Washington Aqueduct's two water treatment plants (WTPs), Dalecarlia WTP and McMillan WTP. Chemical name Sodium Hypochlorite Strength 12.5 trade percent Projected annual quantity 1,920 tons free available chlorine Unit of measure for invoicing tons free available chlorine Delivery form (tote vs. bulk) Bulk Delivery load size As requested NSF/ANSI Certification 60 AWWA Standard B300 Physical/chemical requirements Various Projected Period Of Performance: 3 years Dalecarlia WTP: Approximately 3,240 tons Free Available Chlorine (FAC) during period of performance. McMillan WTP: Approximately 2,520 tons Free Available Chlorine (FAC) during period of performance. Interested Small Business (SB) Firms, Certified 8(a) Firms, Certified Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HubZone) Firms, and Service- Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) with single bonding capacity to support this project should submit capability statements to include the following information: 1. Company name, address, phone number and point of contact. 2. Company's System for Award Management (SAM) Cage Code and DUNS Number to verify your business status as a qualified Small Business (SB) Firm, Certified 8(a) Firm, Certified Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HubZone) Firm or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Firm.
