Description
This action was awarded as an 8(a) Sole Source Set-Aside under the authority of section 8(a) of the Small Business Act. The contractor shall furnish all parts, material, labor, equipment and supervision necessary to complete the work for Building 20203 Wall Construction a.Modiy 2nd floor center wing east entrance area: 1.Construct wall above false ceiling, extending from mechanical room across the hallway entrance and around the northern office. The wall will extend upwards to the floor above for the entire length. 2.Contractor shall patch and paint areas disturbed by construction. 3.Contractor will bundle wires above the ceiling in order to form a single penetration. 4.Contractor will fire caulk all penetrations through the new wall. 5.If any ducts penetrating the wall are over 96 square inches the contractor shall place man bars and inspection port in the duct. 6.Contractor shall adjust the ceiling tiles and grid to accommodate the new wall. 7.Contractor shall install a new exit sign by the door. b.Modify 2nd floor center wing west entrance area: 1.Construct wall above false ceiling, extending across the double entrance doors. The wall will extend upwards to the floor above. Security bars will need to be installed in the ductwork located above the entrance doors. 2.Contractor shall patch and paint areas disturbed by construction. 3.Contractor will bundle wires above the ceiling in order to form a single penetration. 4.Contractor will fire caulk all penetrations through the new wall. 5.If any ducts penetrating the wall are over 96 square inches the contractor shall place man bars and inspection port in the duct. 6.Contractor shall adjust the ceiling tiles and grid to accommodate the new wall. 7.Contractor shall install a new exit sign by the door. c.Install hallway door. 1.A wood door is required to be installed in the above referenced east hallway entrance. The door will need to be a 1-3/4" solid wood core (wood stave) type. The door can be an out-swing door with pinned hinges. The hinges cannot be removable. A door closure unit and door sweep will also be necessary. 2.Contractor shall install an emergency push bar and Trilogy DL2700 T@ hardware on the door. 3.Door hardware shall be a brass finish.
