- The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey, on behalf of the U.S. Army Armament Research Development & Engineering Center (ARDEC), is posting this notice to inform interested sources that multiple information sessions are being held in 2018 to share with industry the advances the United States Government is making regarding micro laser ignition and the applications for use with optically stimulated energetics. A presentation will be given discussing research and development the USG has performed utilizing Commercial-Of-The-Shelf (COTS) micro laser diode assemblies, the associated electronics, and the potential near future applications. The following are the dates, times, and locations of the planned sessions: Wednesday, 31 January 2018 Intercontinental Hotel Laurel Hill Room 888 Howard Street San Francisco, CA 94103 Three One Hour Sessions: 10AM 1PM 3PM Wednesday, 28 February 2018 Location TBD Near San Diego Convention Center San Diego, CA 92101 Three One Hour Sessions 10AM 1PM 3PM Note: The Government will post an amendment to this notice to add the location for the information sessions for Wednesday 28, February 2018 as soon as a location has been confirmed. Interested sources are encouraged to attend these information sessions. No registration is required for the sessions. Also, sources interested in attending the information sessions are not required to respond to this notice. This notice is for information purposes only, it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), or a commitment by the U.S. Government. The Government does NOT intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice.
