- Sources Sought SNOW TRUCK BOX SPREADERS AND HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS INSTALLATION AT SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, IL This is a request for information only. This is not a request for quote/proposal and there is no solicitation package available at this time. The United States Air Force, 375 Contracting Squadron, Scott Air Force Base, IL is seeking sources to outfit four vehicles with the following equipment: 1. Ford F750 - 5-Ton Dump Truck - Has plow attachment installed may require valve body swap and control system and required hoses and connections to operate spreader system a. Provide and install Flink Vee 10' Spreader - Model #LMC5H (Brand Name or Equal) b. Provide and install hydraulic system for spreader operation 2. Ford F750 - 5-Ton Dump Truck - Will require entire valve system replacement and controls to include hoses, controls and connections to operate spreader system a. Provide and install Flink Vee 10' Spreader - Model #LMC5H (Brand Name or Equal) b. Provide and install hydraulic system for spreader operation c. Provide and install pumps for spreader operation if required 3. Ford F750 - 5-Ton Dump Truck - Will require entire valve system replacement and controls to include hoses, controls and connections to operate spreader system a. Provide and install Flink Vee 10' Spreader - Model #LMC5H (Brand Name or Equal) b. Provide and install hydraulic system for spreader operation c. Provide and install pumps for spreader operation if required 4. Ford F750 - 5-Ton Dump Truck a. Provide and install hydraulic system for spreader operation b. Provide and install pumps for spreader operation if required The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 333120 and the business size is 1,250 Employees. Description of Service The Contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, parts and labor necessary to provide and install three (3) Flink Vee box spreaders Model LMC5H (Brand Name or Equal) and associated necessary hydraulic systems on Ford F750 Dump Trucks. The spreaders will be operated by hydraulics that are connected to the truck. They will have a 2/3 valve system (if truck has plow connected) to allow the spreader to be adjusted for flow of material and spinner speed. The system will be run from the Power Takeoff (PTO) of the dump truck and have all lines, hoses and connections in place ready for use. The hoppers will be able to be slid into the 5-Ton dump truck (750 Ford chassis) and have a locking attachment to secure them in place using the tailgate latching system. Performance Requirements Equipment must be new, not refurbished. Contractor must provide upgraded controls to include dual flow controls for the spreader units, all hoses, valves and fittings as required. Contractor must also install diverter valves, pumps if required. Hydraulic Systems must remain intact to include filters. All oil levels must meet manufacturer's specifications. Contract Type 375 Contracting Squadron is anticipating a performance based, firm fixed price contract.
