- Interested parties who consider themselves qualified to perform the services outlined in the attached Overview are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought by (4:00pm MST), Friday, December 29th 2017. *****Submittals shall include response to the questions included within the Google Survey, accessible at the following link: https://goo.gl/forms/rTanKe7aITBNOvS72. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is conducting acquisition planning for potential award(s) for services of commercially provided Type 2 qualified wildland firefighter crews, hereafter referred to as Alaska Type 2 Contract Crews (AK2CC), for fire suppression and mop-up activities, All-Hazard incidents, and Severity/Preparedness assignments for Alaska and the lower 48. These AK2CCs are to be utilized for assignments that involve the protection and management of public lands, as well as private lands. In Alaska, the BLM is responsible for fire suppression and protection on Native owned lands including private native allotments. The BLM is seeking information from interested parties with specialized capabilities to provide such services. This Sources Sought is intended as a means of conducting market research which will help determine the best method for the anticipated solicitation and subsequent procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes assigned to this requirement is 115310, Support Activities for Forestry- Forest Fire Suppression. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This Sources Sought does not constitute a request for quote. Submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary.
