- This is a synopsis for noncommercial items posted in accordance with FAR 13.105 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to purchase, on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b), a Control Actuation System Electronic Control Unit (ECU) on a Firm Fixed price basis from Marotta Controls, Inc., Cage Code 99657. Marotta Control's components are the most cost effective option that meets NUWCDIVNPT's specifications without incurring unnecessary upfront development costs. This is intended as a sole source requirement and will be solicited as unrestricted under North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code 334111 as concurred with by the NUWCDIVNPT Office of Small Business programs (OSBP). The size standard is 1,250 employees. The Governments anticipated CLIN structure is as follows: CLIN 0001: Control Actuation System, Quantity 1 The anticipated delivery date is 6 months ARO, F.O.B. Destination, Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI. The anticipated release date of Request for quote (RFQ) Number N66604-18-Q-0540 is December 28, 2017 and will be posted for less than 30 days in accordance with FAR 5.203(b). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Offers for other products must contain complete product information and prices. Additional details will be released upon issuance of RFQ Number N66604-18-Q-0540.
