- THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLITICATION AND IS NOT TO BE CONSIDERED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. ALL FIRMS RESPONDING TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ARE ADVISED THAT THEIR RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST THAT WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR CONTRACT AWARD. THE INFORMATION FROM THIS MARKET RESEARCH IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND WILL ASSIST THE GOVERNMENT IN PLANNING ITS ACQUISITION STRATEGY. THIS IS STRICTLY MARKET RESEARCH AND THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT ENTERTAIN QUESTIONS CONCERNING THIS MARKET RESEARCH. THE INTENT OF THIS NOTICE IS TO DETERMINE THE AVAILABILITY OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IN THE REPLACEMENT OF AN INTERRUPTER IN A HIGH VOLTAGE ABB CIRCUIT BREAKER. The US Bureau of Reclamation (USBR) has a requirement for technical assistance/guidance from ABB Inc. on the replacement of one (1) each Circuit Breaker Interrupter on an ABB 550PM (SF6) circuit breaker located at the 500kV Switchyard, Grand Coulee Power Office (GCPO), Grand Coulee, WA. The interrupter will be replaced by Government forces with the SF6 circuit breaker in place on the pad, during inclement weather. Estimated time for rebuild is two (2) consecutive days, working 10 hours per day. The primary purpose is for the Contractor to furnish one (1) each Field Service Engineer to provide technical assistance/guidance on the replacement of one (1) each ABB 550PM (SF6) circuit breaker interrupter located at the 500kV Switchyard. POTENTIAL OFFERERS HAVING TECHNICAL CAPABILITIS NECESSARY TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE DESCRIBED REQUIREMENT ARE INVITED TO PROVIDE A CAPABILITIES STATEMENT VIA EMAIL. THE CAPABILITY STATEMENT MUST INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: 1) COMPANY NAME AND POINT OF CONTACT INFORMATION 2) DUNS NUMBER 3) SMALL BUSINESS SIZE/CERTIFICATION (TO INCLUDE 8(A), HUBZONE, SDVOSB, ETC) 4) BRIEF EXPLANATION OF RECENT AND RELEVANT WORK (PAST 3 YEARS) RESPONSES ARE DUE NO LATER THAN 07:00 AM, PST, MONDAY, DECEMBER 18, 2017, AND SHALL BE ELECTRONICALLY SUBMITTED TO PAULA COLLINS AT PCOLLINS@USBR.GOV. ALL RESPONSES WILL BE USED TO DETERMINE THE APPROPRIATE ACQUISITION STRATEGY FOR A POTENTIAL FUTURE ACQUISITION. RESPONSE IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY; NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS SYNOPSIS OR ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS.
