Description
Solicitation Doc for Auditorium Upgrade COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION This is a combined synopsis/solicitation ("synopsitation" hereafter), which is expected to result in award of a Firm-Fixed-Price Contract for commercial items, i.e., Audio/Visual Equipment Upgrade, for the 549 th CTS Squadron as described under the attachment titled "Statement of Work." The synopsitation is prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is conducted as a commercial item procurement using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (FAR Part 13). An award, if any, will be made to the responsible offeror who submits a proposal that (1) conforms to the requirements of the synopsitation; (2) that receives a rating of "Acceptable" on the Technical Capability evaluation factor; and (3) that submits the proposal with the lowest total evaluated price (TEP), provided that the TEP is not unbalanced and is fair and reasonable. The Government reserves the right to award without discussions or make no award at all depending upon (1) the quality of proposals received and (2) the price fair and reasonableness of proposals received. ****A site visit will be conducted on the 19 th of December 2017 at 1300h. Although offerrers are not required to attend, it is highly encouraged. Questions are due on the 21 st of December 2017 by 1300h. Note that e-mail filters at Nellis Air Force Base are designed to filter e-mails without subject lines or with suspicious subject lines or contents (i.e.,.exe or.zip files). Therefore, if the specified subject line is not included, the e-mail may not get through the e-mail filters. Also be advised that.zip or.exe files are not allowable attachments and may be deleted by the email filters at Nellis. If sending attachments with email, ensure only.pdf,.doc,.docx,.xls or.xlsx documents are sent. The email filter may delete any other form of attachments. IMPORTANT NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS: All prospective awardees are required to register at the System for Award Management (SAM) and to maintain active registration during the life of the contract. INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND The auditorium is approximately 49' x 43' with two Panasonic PT-FW300NT projectors, two 14' wide projector screens, two 70" LCD TV monitors and 9 ceiling speakers. The auditorium also has two ceiling mics which feed a speaker in the AV control room behind the auditorium. 2. OBJECTIVES Upgrade the projectors to high definition capable and lamp-less. Upgrade the audio visual switcher to digital and support a minimum of 3 separate inputs and 4 outputs. Ensure the 3 outposts can be played through the existing (or a new) audio system. 3. SCOPE OF WORK Replace the existing projectors with high-def capable, lamp-less, min-5000 lumen projectors Replace/upgrade the CAT-5 to VGA (analog) Twisted Pair Extenders to digital Replace/upgrade the audio/video matrix switcher to digital Use existing projector screens and 70 LCD TVs 4.
