THANK YOU. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation Number 70Z02318QPA700700 is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This announcement incorporates provision and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-96 (6 Nov 2017) and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This procurement is set-aside for Small Businesses. The NAICS code for this procurement is 336611 with a size standard of 1,250 employees. The US Coast Guard Asset Project Office intends to award a single Firm-Fixed Price Contract for the towing and ship breaking of the ex-USCGC MATINICUS located at the US Coast Guard Yard in Baltimore, Maryland in accordance with the attached Statement of Work (SOW) (Attachment 1). Pricing should be provided on Attachment 2 and submitted with the vendor's quote. The Provisions and Clauses applicable to this solicitation are included in Attachment 3. All technical inquiries and questions relating to this RFQ are to be submitted to Nichol Fitzpatrick via e-mail at nichol.a.fitzpatrick@uscg.mil by December 13, 2017 at 12:00 PM EST. Responses to questions will be provided via RFQ amendment. A formal notice of changes, if applicable, will be issued in FedBizOpps (www.FBO.gov) via amendment(s). It is each vendor's individual responsibility to monitor the FBO system for changes. Quotes shall be emailed to the POC and are due no later than 12:00 PM EST, December 22, 2017.
