Description
SiVT INDUSTRY DAY ANNOUNCEMENT The U.S. Army Combined Arms Center for Training (CAC-T), Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas, will conduct an informational SiVT Industry Day on 22-23 January 2018 at the Frontier Conference Center on Ft Leavenworth, Kansas. The objective of this event is to communicate to Industry partners and Academia the SiVT concept and to address any concerns Industry and Academia partners may have regarding the SiVT program. The Squad immersive Virtual Trainer (SiVT) is the next generation simulation training program that will modernize the way the Army will train dismounted Soldiers in FY18 and beyond. The goal of the SiVT is to revolutionize training and build Army readiness. The SiVT will be a single transportable, software centric, Soldier-enabled platform. The scalable capability will provide the needed capabilities to train Soldiers individually or collectively as a squad in a synthetic training environment, replicating the physical demands of fighting against regular and irregular forces in a complex operating environment. SiVT will enable Soldiers to conduct high quality, high repetition, realistic collective training with minimal overhead. It is anticipated that the SiVT training capability will be delivered incrementally over a period of time from FY18 to FY22. The effort will be managed by the HQs, Combined Arms Center for Training (CAC-T) in Leavenworth, Kansas. The SiVT effort will allow Industry, Academia, and Government Research Lab partners' opportunities to influence the future concepts and requirements for SiVT. The effort plans to involve Industry/Academia partners in early prototyping and demonstrations of emerging technologies, as well as the development of new SiVT standards and interfaces. Industry Day participation is available on a first come, first serve basis. Pre-registration is required (see information below on registration process, "How To Register").
