- DESCRIPTION OF ACTION: The Communications, Electronics, Research, Development and Engineering Center (CERDEC), Command, Power and Integration (CP&I) Directorate requests approval for a Modification of Contract No. W56KGU-14-C-0067 with BANC 3, INC.; 300 Alexander Park STE 350; Princeton, NJ 08540-6396 to add FAR clause 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services to permit the current contractor to continue providing vital services for the period of 6 months from 01 January 2018 through 30 June 2018. The contract is a result of a Source Selection that was conducted in response to solicitation W56KGU-14-R-0002 Via Army Single Face To Industry (ASFI), with a 12 month initial term and two 12 month option periods. The contract was awarded on 29 September 2014. The period of performance was scheduled to end on 28 September 2017, but due to a three month no cost extension on W56KGU-14-C-0067 P00059 utilizing FAR 52.243-2, "Changes", the performance will end on 31 December 2017. The Contract did not include the FAR clause 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services. The Government seeks a 6 month extension to the Contract pursuant to FAR clause 52.217-8. The Contract is Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF). The Government will utilize Fiscal Year (FY) 2018 Research, Development, Testing & Engineering, Army (RDT&E) appropriations to support this request. An acquisition plan was completed at the time of award. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: The contractor shall provide research and development, engineering, technology insertion, systems integration, engineering and technical documentation, software/hardware engineering, systems engineering, test and evaluation, logistics and business operations support. The contractor shall provide support for the operation, administration, and maintenance of networks and systems. The contractor shall provide services in the areas of research, design alternatives, interface definition, interoperability, integration, functional and engineering analysis, and performance assessments for software systems under consideration for the Mission Command Technology Enabled Capability - Demonstration project or similar. SCOPE OF WORK: This contract is a non-personal services contract that provides expertise in the areas of for Engineering, Software Architectures, System Engineering, Business Operations Support to Command, Power and Integration (CP&I) Directorate. The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service provider performing services within the PWS. This action will result in a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee extension for an additional six (6) months (1 January 2018 to 30 June 2018).
