- Amendment 4 - Extend the RFI response date and time from 12/11/17 at 2 PM ET to 12/18/17 at 2 PM ET, and replace attachment "HPC RFI Rev 1" with attachment "HPC RFI Rev 2" which updates the response date and time. Amendment 3 - Incorporate Attachment "RFI Q&A_response Final" which includes vendor questions and answers. Amendment 2 - Replace Attachment "HPC RFI Final" with revised version "HPC RFI Rev 1" and revise NAICS code from "541512-Computer Systems Design Services" to "541519-Other Computer Related Services" Amendment 1 - Replace Attachment "Draft HPC Lease Benchmark/Scorecard Template" with corrected version "Draft HPC Lease Benchmark/Scorecard Template Revised" The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) of the Department of the Interior (DOI) intends to solicit information from multiple sources through a Request for Information (RFI). The RFI is not a solicitation for a contract or grant award and is for informational purposes only. Through the RFI, the Government intends to seek information from companies about a potential future High Performance Computing (HPC) system activity. The Government intends to request information on current industry capabilities and performance on several areas of scope relating to the system hardware and software as well as training and support services, which is being considered for a future contract. Areas of scope may include HPC System Development, Technical Support for the developed system, Training and other materials. The government will also be soliciting feedback on Burst Buffer, Compute partition, and Storage System upgrade options. Furthermore, in the RFI, the government intends to seek feedback regarding the acquisition approach for a potential HPC system contract, and solicit alternative approaches that may reduce cost and risk.
