Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for quote and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. There is no solicitation, specifications or drawings available at this time. Military Sealift Command (MSC) is seeking qualified and certified MAN Diesel authorized distributors to provide (2) two Main Diesel Engine, 30,000 hour overhaul kits (Part number M12702371) for a 9L 48/60 cylinder engine, (1) one set of gaskets (Part number F06.56539-0076), (1) one set of gaskets (Part number F06.56539-0072) and (18) eighteen fuel injection valves (Part number M12701636) on the USNS CHARLES DREW. Parts requested MUST be MAN Diesel OEM parts only. Parts are to be delivered to San Diego, CA. The estimated issue date of this solicitation (N32205-18-Q-44338) is on or about 15 December 2017. After issuance, the solicitation may be obtained on the FedBizOpps website: https://www.fbo.gov/. All Small Businesses, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Certified HUB Zone and Certified 8(a) Small Businesses are encouraged to respond. The Government will determine whether, a set-aside acquisition in lieu of full and open competition is in the Government's best interest. This office anticipates award of a contract on or about 9 January 2018. The Appropriate NAICS Code is 333618, Other Engine Equipment Manufacturing, which has a size standard of 1500. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE OR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential small business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of an award. It is requested that interested small businesses submit to the contracting office a brief capabilities package demonstrating ability to complete the requested work. This document shall address, as a minimum the following: (1) Company Profile to include number of employees, office location(s), DUNS number, CAGE code and a statement regarding small business designation and status; (2) Partnership agreements with any large businesses. Proprietary information, if any, should be minimized and MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED. To aid the Government, please segregate proprietary information. Please be advised that all submissions will not be returned. Please provide your response to this sources sought notice by 08:00 a.m. EST on 8 December 2017.
