- Notice Type: Posted Date: Intent to Award a Sole Source December 1, 2017 Original Set Aside: Response Date: Open Market-Sole Source December 6, 2017 @ 08:00 a.m. Classification Code: NAICS Code: J065 Equipment Maintenance and 811219 Other Electronic and Precision Repair Services Equipment Repair and Maintenance Intent to Sole Source Synopsis: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 7; hereby provides notice of its intent to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to provide FULL MAINTENANCE, EMERGENCY REPAIR AND SERVICE FOR THE STERIS STERILIZER EQUIPMENT pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements, to: STERIS CORPORATION 2424 WEST 23RD STREET ERIE, PA 16506 This requirement will consist of the supplying all plant, labor, equipment, materials, supervision, test equipment, repair/replacement parts, travel and transportation, necessary to perform annual Preventive Maintenance/Calibration and necessary repair service to the Steris Sterilizer type equipment for the Medical Service of the facility. The service is to include emergency and non-emergency service calls with-in 24 and 48 hours response times. Steris has supplied proprietary documentation stating distributors are not authorized at this time. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. ANY COMPANY WHO MAY BE ABLE TO PROVIDE NECESSARY MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR TYPE SERVICE FOR THESE SYSTEMS MUST PROVIDE PROOF OF AUTHORITY ALLOWING WORK TO BE PERFORMED ON THIS EQUIPMENT, CAPABILITY STATEMENT TO DEMONSTRATE SERVICE ABILITY, AND ANY TYPE GOVERNMENT CONTRACT INFORMATION IF APPLICABLE TO THIS TYPE OF SYSTEM. OEM FACTORY APPROVED PARTS MUST BE SUPPLIED FOR ALL REPAIRS ON THIS EQUIPMENT, MUST HAVE AUTHORITY TO PROVIDE THESE PARTS. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award. All qualified candidates will be verified in Vendor Information Pages (VIP) in order to be eligible for award. Required set-aside is strictly enforced. If you have not conducted business with the WJB Dorn VA Medical Center located in Columbia South Carolina, you will be required to complete Vendor/Payment Forms to be entered into the local systems in order to be eligible for award. Please ensure all bid offer emails are titled referencing the Solicitation Number and Title of Service i.e. 36C24718Q9003 Steris Sterilizer so that they may be placed in the proper file folder for consideration. Failure to do so may cause a delay in addressing questions, inquires, and during the evaluation process. All interested parties shall submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their capabilities to satisfy the requirements listed above to Contracting Specialist, Cynthia Machuca at cynthia.machuca@va.gov.
