This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of large businesses and small businesses, to include VIP-Verified Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) prospective contractors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 339112 (Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing). The Ultrasound Visual Acuity B Scans are known to meet the Government s needs. Includes installation and on-site training 1 EA 0002 Warranty: 1 Year. 1 EA Salient Characteristics (Ultrasound Visual Acuity B Scans BRAND NAME or EQUAL): Sonomed VuPad Portable B-Scan Ultrasound System: 1) Must meet VA SPS sterilization requirements that it can be cleaned at point of use and cannot require high level disinfection in a sterilization processing unit. Must have an approved VA IFU stating this. IFUs can be obtained from: http://www.onesourcedocs.com/member/index.html?onesource_session=f8865416530811f7c69351fa32528763 2) B-mode Scan capabilities to include: -256 Ray Scan Sampling -Fully adjustable time-varied gain (TVG), baseline, log gain and exponential gain (e-gain) -Scan Position indicator: One-click Selection of axial or longitudinal scan clock position with eye model confirmation and free-form text for scan position details that automatically save onto images and video clips -Provide unlimited measurements using linear calipers and angle measurement tool -Capability to separately save any number of individual frames from video clips as images and allows annotations to be saved on images as well -Video Clip capability to capture and store approximately 50-frame video clips at up to 20 frames per second; replay in real-time, scalable slow motion or one frame at a time; store up to 6 video clips per eye exam with ability to add or remove video clips from exam record -A-Scan Trace capability to superimpose arbitrary A-scan trace onto images with a single button click -Capability to provide detailed customizable exam reports for printing or exporting 3) 12 MHz B-Probe with focused transducer 4)Multi-Touch Screen 4) USB Foot Pedal 5) User Manual Interested vendors are required to submit an e-mail delineating: Qualifications, capabilities, and experience for providing this product; Business size/Socioeconomic status; If the product is on the Federal Supply Schedule or the Open Market; and Memo or correspondence which authorizes distributor to distribute the manufacturer s products. This is not a Request for Quote/Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submissions will not be returned to the sender. VOSBs and SDVOSBs must be registered and verified in VIP for consideration. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 339112 and the small business size standard is 500 employees.
