Description
This is a special notice prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2 "Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions" US Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District intends to award a sole-source, Firm-Fixed Price contract with Technical Sales and Field Services-Northwest, LLC -- 8255 SW Hunziker Ste., 100, Tigard, OR 97223. The purpose of this acquisition is for the installation of GDACS at Chief Joseph Dam. Technical Sales and Field Services-Northwest, LLC Inc. is an authorized distributor approved by Monaghan Engineering to provide SER (Sequence of Events Modules.) Parts to be purchased are: Qty 62 - ProTime 100/S2 125vDC input discrete input, 32 pts., 120vAC power supply, Part No. MPT-125-125/S2. The SER Modules are developed by Monaghan Engineering, Inc. (The statutory authority for this non-competitive acquisition is 10 U.S.C 2304(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. A SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE POSTED. The Government intends to proceed with this sole source action. The NAICS code is 334515. The size standard as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration is 750 employees. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS. Interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government by submitting a quote to the contracting officer before the notice end date. If no affirmative responses are received by 12:00 PM Pacific Time on December 16, 2017 an award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
