- Page 1 of 1 Page 1 of 1 This Sources Sought is for information and market research only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The VA is currently conducting market research to locate qualified experienced and interested potential sources. Responses will NOT be considered as proposals, nor will any award be incurred by interested parties in responding to this sources sought announcement. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business or Small Business) relative to NAICS 811310, Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance, size standard $7.5M. Responses to this sources sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published on FEDBIZ OPPS website. Contracting Service is seeking interested sources (contractors) and an estimate for a near-future solicitation and procurement for the following: Repair of a Caterpillar 287C2 Skid Steer. The repair entails replacing the Travel Motor. Please give an estimate for Parts, labor and other charges separately. The cemetery will deliver the Skidsteer. At this time, no solicitation exists. Therefore, DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION. Responses must be sent to the following address and received no later than 2:00pm Eastern on December 5, 2017 though the vendor portal: https://www.vendorportal.ecms.va.gov Your responses must include your business size, capabilities statement and socio-economic status information. You must be registered in SAM. You must also be registered in VetBiz Registry if applicable. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly.
