- Request of Rental Services Description of Purchase: Rental of One (1) Diesel Powered Vacuum Loader and One (1) 40,000 CFM (Min.) Diesel Powered Dust Collector, with needed consumables and delivery of units. Application of the Purchase: Trailer mounted diesel powered vacuum loader and dust collector will be used by the Maintenance and Repair Crew to recover blast media during blasting operations to Lock and Dam 5 and 5A's Miter Gates. Delivery: Delivery shall be made on 18 December 2017. Rental period: Rental period shall run from the date of delivery for 12 weeks with 6 (six) one week option periods. Scope Work: M&R requests the rental one (1) diesel powered vacuum loader and one (1) diesel powered dust collector configured for moving sandblast media. Note - Government reserves the right to reschedule delivery of equipment due to delays in production. One Diesel Powered Vacuum Loader: Specifications~ oImportant Customer Support Note - Vendor shall provide the customer service needed to support this equipment in the event of a breakdown during the contracted rental period. Within 24 hours of being notified by the Government of an equipment breakdown, the vendor shall either have the nonfunctioning equipment repaired or replaced at no additional cost to the Government. oTrailer mounted chassis - w/ lifting legs to level trailer. oPower source - turbo charged diesel engine with sufficient horse power to operate the vacuum. Engine shall be equipped with cold weather start package to include an electric engine block heater. oPTO clutch or equivalent means to engage and dis-engage engine from vacuum oVacuum air flow (blower), minimum positive displacement, 3600 CFM capable of 27" Hg (min.). oFiltration system (3-stage) - Cyclonic separation, bag house, and high efficiency blower safety filter. oAir compressor - Direct drive; water cooled and oil pressured fed, air dryer with electronic heater. oASME certified air tank mounted on vibration isolators. oAutomatic cone vibrator. o90 gallon fuel tank (min.). oAdjustable pintle hook. oEmergency stop button. oInspection door in the hopper. oHepa filtration. oInstrument panel - electric start, safety system (low oil pressure/high water temperature-auto shut down). The following are considered consumables in the support of the vacuum loader and must be new and unused upon delivery: oHose package - 200 feet of 4 inch heavy duty vacuum hose and couplers, one (1) - 4 inch floor nozzle and one (1) - 4 inch aluminum bulk nozzle. oProvide eight - 6 inch X 4 inch reducers. oProvide two - 6 inch heavy duty wear elbow. oProvide six - 4 inch steel sleeve couplers. oProvide ten - 4 inch power lock hose clamps. One Trailer Mounted Diesel Powered Dust Collector: Specifications~ Important Customer Support Note - Vendor shall provide the customer service needed to support this equipment in the event of a breakdown during the contracted rental period. Within 24 hours of being notified by the Government of an equipment breakdown, the vendor shall either have the nonfunctioning equipment repaired or replaced at no additional cost to the Government •side loading filter cartridge design. oDiesel powered engine (min). Engine shall be equipped with cold weather start package to include an electric engine block heater. Filtering capacity of 40,000 cfm at 12 inch w.c. (min). •7000 square feet of primary filter area (min). •Reverse air pulse filter cleaning system. •DOT approved trailer lighting and reflective recognition tape. •Hydraulically driven unloading augers. The following are considered consumables in the support of the dust collector and must be new and unused upon delivery: •200 feet of 20 inch heavy duty duct hose. The rental period shall begin upon delivery of the vacuum loader and dust collector to: Lock and Dam #5A W679 State Hwy 345 Fountain City WI 54629.
