- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has awarded a sole source Firm Fixed Price (FFP) order under General Services Administration (GSA) contract GS-00F-014DA to Wyle Laboratories, Inc., El Segundo, CA, for the procurement of Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) and Electronic Support Systems Modifications. The order was awarded in the amount of $2,236,809.38, plus six unexercised options in the amount of $2,127,097.34. This acquisition was conducted on a sole-source basis under statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B) 'Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized.' A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government.
