- Notice of Intent to Sole Source: Rez m Delivery Device Kits The Department of Veterans SAO West, Network Contracting Office 19, located at 6162 South Willow Drive Suite 300, Greenwood Village, CO 80111 intends to enter into sole source purchase order agreement authorized by FAR 13.106- 1(b), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), the Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source purchase order to the small business Nxthera, Inc., 7351 Kirkwood Ln N Ste 138, Maple Grove, MN. The associated North America Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 339112 and the Business Size Standard is 1,000 employees. The contractor shall provide the George E. Whalen VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah with delivery device kits for a Rez m transurethral RF thermal therapy system that uses sterile water vapor (steam) to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) by delivering targeted, controlled doses of stored thermal energy directly to the transition zone of the prostate gland. Rez m uses a transurethral needle ablation (TUNA) method that differs from the traditional TUNA, which delivers heat to the excess tissue in the prostate, and instead provides radiofrequency generated in the form of water vapor. Each delivery device kits contains the following disposable components: One (1) sterile Delivery Device with cable and tubing, one (1) sterile Syringe, one (1) sterile Spike Adaptor, and one (1) 50 ml Sterile Water Vial. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the U.S. Government. Interested persons may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, Thursday, November 16th, 2017. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to meet the subject requirement. This information shall be provided at no cost or obligation to the Government.
