- Description
- The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, management, tools, materials, equipment, facilities, transportation, incidental engineering, and other items necessary to replace the existing fire alarm system, public address system and nurse call system with new systems throughout the building complete and ready for use. OPTION “ Radiation Monitoring System Provide Area Radiation Detectors (ARD) for detection of gamma radiation only at fixed points in Building 1007. These detectors shall monitor types and dose rates and above for radiations consistent with use by medical procedures, specific to Building 1007. These detectors shall be wall mounted approximately three to four feet above the floor. The ARD ™s shall have a four-digit LED display that is readable from 30 feet away. The ARD ™s shall have backlit visual indicators and at a minimum a status light for positive indication of instrument operation, a low radiation alarm, a high radiation alarm, an instrument failure alarm, and a low battery alarm. Detectors shall be powered with 120VAC primary power and secondary power shall be battery backup. Devices and components shall be protected from access or tampering by the general public.
