Description
Salient Characteristics Provisions and Clauses Combination Synopsis-Solicitation for Commercial Purchases The Multi-Threat Armor Branch of the Weapons and Materials Research Directorate (WMRD) requires the procurement of two (2) Digital X-Ray Scanners meeting the following requirements: •The scanner shall be capable of reading General Electric (GE) Model Number IPC2 and Carestream INDUSTREX Flex Model Number General Purpose (GP) phosphor imaging plates. •The scanner shall be capable of reading image plates that are 14 inches (") wide by 60" long. •The scanner shall be capable of erasing image plates immediately after scanning/reading the image plates. •The scanner's resolution shall be capable of scanning at 50 micrometer per pixel or better (better would be a lower value, i.e. 25 micrometer per pixel) •The scanner shall be capable of interfacing with 64-bit Windows 7 personnel computers. •The scanner shall be capable of exporting raw data using a 16-bit Tag Image File Format (TIFF) format. •The scanner shall include full software suite capable of visualizing and adjusting images. •The scanner shall allow the capability of users to use the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)-488 commands to directly communicate with the instrument to allow for custom software development. •The scanner shall use standard United States (US) 110 Volt electrical power. •Includes shipping to Aberdeen, MD, 21901.
