- Brand Name Memo Statement of Work Combined Synopsis and Solicitation This is a combined synopsis and solicitation to complete an analysis of a 5-ton Chain Fall Failure to include: 1.Disassemble the failed chain fall and complete a detailed inspection, testing, and analysis of the internal mechanisms associated with the uncontrolled lowering of the load. 2.Provide a technical assessment as to the possible root causes of chain fall failure. 3.Provide a technical assessment of any possible contributing factors such as overloading, lack of maintenance, unmitigated corrosion, etc. 4.Provide recommendations on inspections and maintenance to reduce the likelihood of another failure. Services must be provided by a Certified Hoist Technicians in an authorized service facility for Columbus McKinnon Corporation.
