- Description
- This special notice for commercial items has been prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The posting number is NOI-4178 and is issued as a Notice of Intent (NOI) to Sole Source. This special notice and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAR Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-94, 2005-95. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 511210. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a one-time, firm fixed-price, sole source award to NicheVision Forensics, LLC (Akron, OH) for the purchase of STRmix software licenses and software license renewals. The FBI has determined that NicheVision Forensics, LLC is the sole responsible supplier of the required products. There are no authorized resellers, and no alternative products will satisfy the agency's requirement. Parties who believe they possess the ability to fulfill this requirement may express their interest and identify their technical capability by responding to this posting. Responses shall be submitted via email only, to the attention of Crystal Finch at ckfinch@fbi.gov, no later than Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 11:00am (Eastern). Responses sent via other means (e.g. via telephone call, facsimile transmission, etc.) will not be considered. Information received will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is at the discretion of the FBI.
