- Special Notice: The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service (NWS), National Reconditioning Center (NRC) awarded a Purchase Order for the evaluation to repair 4 each Filter, FILTER, BANDPASS, WAVEGUIDE, TUNED TO 2875MHZ. PREMIER PN 2235-A-2875. UNISYS PN 1213656-235, ASN: R400-1WG6-2875 and evaluation and retune 2 each FILTER, BANDPASS, WAVEGUIDE, 2730 MHZ, PARAMAX P/N 1213656-207 (CAGE: 56232) ASN: R400-1WG6-2730 from 2730MHZ to 2780MHZ and is awarding a modification to authorize the completion of the repairs and retuning. Sole Source Justification: The Government only knows of one source, the OEM vendor Continental Microwave and Tool Co., Inc. (Cobham Antenna Systems). These devices are manufactured by Premier Microwave Corp which was acquired by Cobham in 1997. They maintain all data rights to these devices. Multiple searches of the Small Business Administration's (SBA) Dynamic Small Search did not identify any small business available to compete for this required repair service using the following search parameters: combination of NAICS codes ‘334220' and key words: ‘repair, nexrad, waveguide, band-pass filter'; and just key words ‘repair, nexrad, waveguide, band-pass filter' and ‘repair, waveguide, band-pass filter'. A search of "repair NEXRAD waveguide band-pass filter" and "repair waveguide band-pass filter" in GSA's eLibrary retuned zero matches.
