- SASPO Tinker Industry Day Items RFI Reverse Engineering and Repair Development Whitepapers Agency: Department of the Air Force/Air Force Materiel Command Office: SASPO - Strategic Alternate Sourcing Program Office POC: Myron O. Knight; Program Manager; 405-734-7809; myron.knight@us.af.mil Location: Tinker AFB, OK 429SCMS Notice Type: Request for Whitepapers North American Industry Classification System (NAICS): 336412 PURPOSE: To provide market research by requesting "Whitepapers" for engineering services to reverse engineer and repair items listed below. The whitepaper should include: 1. Company Information a. Description b. Capabilities c. Cage Code d. DUNS Number e. Verification of form 2345 2. Estimated Cost 3. Project Lead-time Project Deliverables: 1. Complete Technical Data Package (TDP) or Technical 2. Prototype(s) The Government cannot guaranty the company performing engineering services the production /manufacturing contract. However, contracts will be competitively solicited on FBO and companies providing engineering service can submit a bid. Please see list attached This is a Request for information (RFI) announcement. This is not a solicitation for proposal; therefore, a solicitation number has not been assigned. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this RFI or any follow-up information requests. This RFI is issued for the purpose of collecting market research, solely for informational, planning, identification of capable sources/recommended strategy and if this effort can be competitive or a Small Business Set-Aside. The information provided in response to this RFI is for discussion purposes and any potential strategy that may be developed from these discussions would be the subject of a separate, future announcement. The information received in response to this RFI will not be shared with competitors, but may be utilized by the Government in developing an acquisition strategy, and requirement documents (i.e.; Statement of Objectives, Performance Work Statement [PWS], or Purchase Description). The Air Force requires that only non-proprietary information be submitted in response to this RFI. The Air Force shall not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for the use of any proprietary information submitted. A determination by the Government not to compete this potential acquisition, based upon responses received to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of on-going market research. Respondents should not submit proprietary data. The Government will not pay for any information submitted as a result of this sources sought synopsis. A response to this sources sought synopsis is NOT a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is issued, it will be posted later at https://www.fbo.gov and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. This sources sought synopsis shall not be construed as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services.
