Description

Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Activity-8, intends to negotiate a noncompetitive award under Request for Quotation number VA248-17-Q-1591 with Maquet Cardiovascular U.S. Sales a Large Business to provide a full-service maintenance contract including preventive maintenance, certification, and repair of the cardiovascular heater/cooler equipment (Maquet HCU30). This procurement is a sole source award in accordance with (IAW) FAR 13.501, Special Documentation Requirements. The authority for applying the Simplified Procedures for Commercial Items of FAR 13.5 is 41 U.S.C. 1901 and is implemented by for restricting competition on this procurement via FAR 13.106-1(b)(2). This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. The Government intends to award a fixed price contract in accordance with all terms and conditions of the solicitation. The NAICS code is assigned to this acquisition is 811219 and the size standard is $20.5M. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
