- Sole Source Redacted Request for Quote W912NW-17-T-0091 Army Contracting Command - Redstone Arsenal - Corpus Christi Army Depot, Contracting Office (CCAM-ALC) intends to solicit and award a sole source contract to NALCO Chemical Company of San Antonio, Texas, under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1), only one source reasonably available. The requirement is for various specialty chemicals needed to sustain required and ongoing maintenance operations of boilers and cooling towers at the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD). The requirement is being issued as a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items in accordance with FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in the attached solicitation. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. The solicitation number for this requirement is W912NW-17-T-0091 and is attached to this announcement. Provisions and clauses in effect through the latest Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) Circulars Defense Acquisition are included in the attached solicitation. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 325998 and has a size standard of 500 employees. The Government will consider all responses received prior to the closing date of this combined synopsis/solicitation. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
