- Description
- Refurbishment of Acrylic Windows in the Cognitive Ecology and Ecohydraulics Facility (CEERF) flume. The Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) operates a state-of-the-art cognitive ecology and ecohydraulics research facility (CEERF). This unique facility allows ERDC to conduct a wide range of studies on the response of fish to various flow field patterns, solid boundaries, fluid boundaries, attractants, repellants, and chemical constituents. These studies are important because understanding the "first principles" relationship between environmental stimuli and movement behavior directly supports many ERDC environmental missions. These missions generally involve how the Department of Defense activities alter the movement and habitat occupation patterns of aquatic animals.
